Full-stack Developer

Mercive is a fast-growing Shopify e-commerce agency based in Copenhagen. We are the right match if you are interested in joining a team that is always looking to push boundaries and solve business problems through design, technology, and strategy.

As part of our full-stack development team, you will work on diverse e-commerce projects where both frontend and backend technologies play a crucial role. Our core tech stack includes Node.js for backend development, and we utilize Remix.js/Next.js for headless frontend development alongside native Shopify technologies like Liquid, HTML, and CSS. Experience or exposure to Rust is considered a plus.

• Develop features and improvements across the full stack in a performant and well-tested way.
• Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders (Frontend, UX, etc.) to design and implement new projects and features.
• Craft high-quality code that aligns with internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices in a high-scale environment.
• Consistently ship small features and improvements with minimal guidance.
• Work alongside the team on larger, collaborative projects.
• Contribute to and follow our workflow processes as part of the development team.
• Advocate for enhancements in project quality and performance, especially those impacting your team.
• Solve technical problems with high scope and complexity.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Junior and Intermediate developers, fostering growth and removing technical blockers.

• Professional experience with Node.js for backend development and building APIs and integrations.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like Next.js, Remix.js, or similar (Vue, Angular, Ember, etc.).
• 2+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Familiarity with using Git in a workplace setting.
• Strong grasp of backend and frontend development concepts and best practices.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms and Shopify is a plus.
• Exposure to Rust development is considered a plus.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform is considered a plus.
• Proven ability to diagnose and prevent performance and optimization issues.
• Positive and solution-driven attitude.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
